STORM DAMAGE UPDATE (7/7/2026 8:00 AM)
- East Lampeter Township’s building has been restored with electricity, and the building will be open from 8am-4pm today. Our phone system is still not functioning properly.
- Intersections throughout East Lampeter Township continue to have traffic signals that are not functioning. All travelers should be aware that the motor vehicle code requires a signalized intersection to be TREATED AS A FOUR-WAY STOP SIGN AND ALL MOTORISTS SHOULD STOP BEFORE PROCEEDING.
- Roadways that remain closed in East Lampeter Township await a response from PPL or their vendors assisting to remove trees from powerlines. Once that has occurred, Township Public Works crews are following with tree clean up in the roadways.
- Barricaded roadways are there for a reason, for the safety of everyone do not travel past the barricades. Do not attempt to pass downed trees or wires by driving onto a resident or businesses property. Please be respectful to our neighbors.
- Community Park remains closed until further notice. The East Lampeter Township Public Works staff has been diligently working to clear roadways and has not had the opportunity to address the various safety issues at the park at this time.
- Manheim Township has kindly opened their Compost Park to East Lampeter Township residents who have purchased a Manheim Township Compost Park Card to take yard debris and tree limbs free of charge through Sunday July 12, 2026. Thank you Manheim Township!
NEW OFFICE HOURS
Beginning Monday, July 6, 2026 the East Township Municipal Offices will be Open Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and closed on Fridays.
Beginning July 1, 2026, in-person payments made at the East Lampeter Township building after 3:30pm will be credited on the next business day. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly to ensure in-person payments are credited on the same day or to use our available online payment options.


Lancaster County 2027 Property Reassessment Announcement
Lancaster County is preparing for the 2027 property reassessment and encourages property owners within the County to do the same. The process of the assessment will begin in 2025 for the 2027 Reassessment. In 2025 and 2026, an assessor from the Lancaster County Property Assessment Office may visit your property for an outside-only inspection, including taking photos from the exterior of the property. Assessment staff will have county identification, and their vehicles clearly marked designating them to be from the Property Assessment Office. The property assessment office is ready to assist residents with preparation for the 2027 reassessment.
