CURRENT CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:
Assistant Sewer Superintendent: East Lampeter Township is seeking an individual to fill the position of Assistant Sewer Superintendent in the Public Works Department. This position is a temporary (3-6 months) position with long-term intent to train for and move to permanent Sewer Superintendent position.
Skill and Ability Requirements:
- Current PA driver’s license and Class B CDL license with an air brakes component and tanker endorsement N
- Current, or willingness to obtain, DEP License to Operate Wastewater System within 18 months of start date
- Supervisory experience
- Experience interacting with members of the public, vendors and a management team
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret plot maps, schematics, blueprints and technical manuals
- Ability to respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis
- Experience in operation of light, medium or heavy equipment
- Experience in operation of manual, pneumatic, and power tools, including chain saws, tamper, drills, grinders, welders, torches
