Comprehensive Plan Update:
The first draft of the Comprehensive Plan Update is now available for public review.
The draft plan was prepared by Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. and developed throughout 2025 and early 2026 through collaboration between the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, Township staff, community leaders, and public input gathered through surveys and direct community outreach efforts.
The Township would like to thank all residents and stakeholders who have participated in the planning process thus far. Your feedback and involvement have played an important role in shaping the future vision for the Township.
The Township is currently seeking additional public input on the draft plan and invites residents to provide comments using the comment form available on this webpage. Comments will be accepted through September 1. If you wish to remain anonymous, please leave your name and contact information blank.
Following the public comment period, the plan will move forward to the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors for additional public discussion, review, and consideration for adoption later this year.
What is a comprehensive plan?
A comprehensive plan is a long-range policy document that guides a municipality’s future growth, development, and preservation over the next 10–20 years. It provides recommendations for land use, housing, transportation, utilities, parks, economic development, and community services to help local officials make informed planning and zoning decisions.
