Notice: Transer of Liquor License
Notice is hereby given that the East Lampeter Township Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at a special meeting to consider an application for an intermunicipal transfer of a liquor license into East Lampeter Township. The applicant is AR United Store Inc., which is proposing to transfer a restaurant liquor license to property located at 2501 Lincoln Highway East. The hearing will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Township Office located at 2250 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Persons with disabilities who require any auxiliary aid, service, or other accommodation to observe or participate should contact the Township Office at least five days before the above date to discuss how your needs may be best accommodated.

Notice: Hearing on Chronic Nuisance Hotels
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a public hearing and consider adoption of the ordinance summarized below at a regular meeting on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. at the East Lampeter Township Municipal Building, 2250 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The following is the title and a summary of the ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE DEFINING AND PROHIBITING CHRONIC NUISANCE HOTELS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST LAMPETER, LANCASTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
The ordinance generally provides accountability for persons responsible for hotels who allow nuisance activities to occur and provides a mechanism for abating such activities. Section 1 sets forth the background and purpose of the ordinance. Section 2 defines particular terms, including the terms “Abate,” “Chronic Nuisance Hotel,” Control,” “Hotel,” “Nuisance Activity,” and “Person Responsible for the Hotel or Person Responsible.” Section 3 establishes that any hotel within the Township which becomes a chronic nuisance hotel is a violation of the ordinance and subjects any person responsible for the hotel to the remedies of the ordinance. Section 4 establishes delegation of initial determination and enforcement of the ordinance to the Township Chief of Police or his/her designee, provides a system for written warnings, citations, abatement, prosecution for violations, and other equitable remedies. Section 5 reserves other causes of action acquired or existing under other existing acts or ordinances. Sections 6, 7 and 8 contain repealer, severability and effective date provisions.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall consider adoption of the ordinance described above. The full text of the ordinance may be examined at the Township Office during regular business hours. Copies may be obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof. However, because no person may be in the office at the time of desired examination, it is recommended that any person desiring to examine the ordinance call the Township Office (Telephone No. 717-393-1567) for an appointment.
